Simple personal Kanban
Use columns and cards to keep your own work visible without team administration, seats, projects, or workflow configuration.
A free personal Kanban board for Mac with local task storage, markdown context, meeting follow-up, and optional Claude Code or Codex execution. No runnrr account required for the core workflow.
runnrr is free Kanban board software for a single Mac user who wants a lightweight personal task board rather than a team project-management suite. Columns and cards stay local, notes are ordinary markdown files, and tasks can keep the source context that created them.
The board is intentionally thin: capture, prioritize, attach context, and move work forward. If a card is suitable for AI, Claude Code or Codex can run it locally. If you need shared team boards, permissions, sprints, or reporting, runnrr is not the right Kanban tool.
Use columns and cards to keep your own work visible without team administration, seats, projects, or workflow configuration.
Board state lives on your Mac and notes can stay as markdown files in folders you control.
A card can carry enough context for Claude Code or Codex to pick up scoped work instead of starting from a blank prompt.

Start with the free local board. The core workflow does not require a runnrr account.
Shape the board around your work
Keep a simple flow such as Inbox, This week, Review, and Done, or rename columns to match how you actually work.
Attach context to the cards that need it
Link markdown notes, meeting context, files, or decisions so important tasks do not become one-line reminders with no history.
Yes. The core macOS task-board workflow is free. Optional online features can use network services, but you do not need a paid runnrr plan to use the local board.
No. It is deliberately personal. If you need shared team boards, assignees, permissions, sprint planning, or portfolio reporting, use a team project-management tool instead.
The local board and markdown workspace can work on your Mac without an online account. Connected services and optional online features need internet access.
Cards can keep source context and be read by supported AI workflows. Claude Code or Codex can run scoped work from a card instead of requiring you to rewrite the task and background into a new chat.
